DOF, blurring or freezing motion

For this picture I wanted to capture the motion of hitting a tennis ball, I liked it because I like the way the picture show something our eyes don’t see that way. The motion blur is strong, making the main subject (tennis player) look very soft. This effect emphasizes movement but reduces sharpness.

This picture is very similar to the first one, but I accidentally captured Mateo in the background while he was moving to get the ball. I think it looks good, but I might crop him out later to keep the focus on the main player. Motion blur is evident, especially in the arms and legs. It gives a sense of action but lacks clarity.

For this photo, I wanted everything to be in focus but also to freeze the moment when my player hits the ball. I think it turned out okay, but I might find a better shot later since I didn’t have much time that day. I added some saturation to the image and played with the brightness and contrast to make the colors pop out.

The best in terms of freezing motion. The player, racket, and surroundings are well-defined. I played with some of the brightness, contrast, hue chrome and levels on this one.

I tried to make the sky and the building stand out. The color adjustments, increasing saturation, make the scene look more vivid and engaging. I tried to maintain everything on focus.

The sharpest of the set, with a well-executed depth of field. The flowers are crisp, while the background stays out of focus. Tweaking the hue and saturation likely made the colors more visually appealing.

The shallow DOF makes the main subject (tree) pop while keeping the background slightly blurred. The hue and contrast adjustments likely helped enhance the tree’s visibility, making them stand out.

A good balance between sharp focus on the subject and a soft background. Increasing chroma (specially in color red) brightness and contrast may have made the colors more intense, giving the image a lively feel.
